A is for... A to Z Blogfest!
Okay, maybe this first post is cheating a little bit, but I feel like I need to introduce this concept and explain what I'm going to be doing this month.
For 26 days in April (not including Sundays) I'll be posting a blog for each letter of the alphabet. It sounded like a simple enough concept when I signed up, but as the month drew closer it became more daunting. 26 posts in a month? Like, every day? Ooohhh....
But I'm in excellent company for this blogfest - there are literally hundreds of people participating by either blogging or stalking those bloggers, which sounds a little creepy as I type it but it really isn't. I don't think. Well, anyway, it's not supposed to be creepy. It's supposed to be fun.
Are you signed up? Are you blogging every day? Are you nervous about making it all the way from A to Z?
Click on the icon above, or in the left column of my blog, to go see the Master List of participants and make sure to see how other bloggers are handling this challenge. Millions of bloggers, or at least almost 700, are signed up for this challenge!!! I even know of a few who are going to try posting poems for each letter - which sounds way harder than just chatting!
So enjoy April's A through Z... hoping to make it all the way!
Oh, and P.S. (neither of which are related to A, but who cares?)...
Did you notice the cool buttons up in the left column under the A to Z box?? I snagged them from Marcus at Writing Investigated - he created and posted to code to share with everyone who's participating. If you click on the "get the code" it'll take you to his page to... get the code. Pretty Cool!

Visiting from the challenge...best of luck with the A to Z. I just joined yesterday so am trying to sort out my thoughts. I write on pretty random stuff normally so I think I'll be okay.

ReplyDeleteHi Katie, first time visitor here. Hey, if you're not cheating, you're not trying!
ReplyDeleteCame to you today using just that little button off of my webpage. Nice beginning and not a cheat at all. Had I not explained it away yesterday, it would have been my "A" too!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about the A to Z challenge is the discovery of so many wonderful and creative blogs, and the people behind them.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited that I'll be challenged to come up with engaging content, but I am already nervous for the letters Q, X, and Z.
I also started with an introduction to the challenge, and I love the tidbits you added to yours.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm nervous about participating in my first A to Z Challenge. I have many of my articles written, but my nervousness is based on wondering how to visit all the wonderful blogs involved!
ReplyDeleteApril snuck up on me so yes, I'm nervous about this challenge. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think the A to Z Challenge is a great way to meet other bloggers and to help those of us (me) commit to blogging more. Nice to meet you!
