Friday Feature: Coffee Heaven on Cape Cod

I'm in love with the new coffee shop I found in Brewster!

Okay, I didn't find it on my own - a new friend invited me to meet her there. It just opened Labor Day weekend, getting the kinks out all winter and now starting to staff up for the busy summer season.

The logo is hauntingly cute, the decor is shabby chic and very comfortable, and they roast the beans right there. Herbs and crystals in the back room, different glass coffee making equipment scattered as decorative features, couches, chairs and whatnot. The pendant lights are handblown glass encased in chicken wire - really cool, actually. There's a community vibe, not a fast-paced Starbucks kind of place at all.

And the coffee! Yum! I think this is the first time I've had a drawing on my coffee since our last trip to Mexico. Yeah, it's been a while.

Snowy Owl Coffee Roasters, on Route 6A in Brewster, near the Brewster Book Store.

"We built out our space at 2624 Main Street in Historic Brewster.  Keeping with the old barn-like character of Great Cape Herbs, we used 200 year-old reclaimed barn wood and other materials  gathered from within the community.  We offer kids' and adult coloring materials, books, open mic nights, acoustic Sundays, and other events for our amazing community. Snowy Owl Coffee House has become a central gathering space for our community, where people connect to the art of roasting and preparing coffee while enjoying themselves, kids, friends, and family."

Hours:

Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri: 6:30 to 3pm
Saturday and Sunday: 7:30 to 4pm

I totally recommend checking it out - if you can, do it before summer kicks into gear. If not, plan to wait in line. This place is pretty cool.
