Candy Hearts Romances Begin to Launch into the World!

A great new romance series starts today, with forty novellas making up a whole bag of candy heart treats in all different flavors! Some sweet, some spicy and some red hot!
Each book is based on one of the traditional Candy Heart sayings - my contribution releases January 18 and is titled SAY YES (and is available for preorder is you click on the sidebar image.)

There are three Candy Hearts releasing today, and six releasing this week! I'm going to try to read and review them all - they are all short, sweet and lots of fun (Like brain candy!) - and feature one each day through Valentine's Day. So first up....
About the Book:

Renata Cabral needs to hide for the weekend. Her cousin’s Valentine’s Day wedding means she’ll face embarrassing questions from her large, extended family. Questions like “Why aren’t you married yet? Since the breakup of her last relationship, she’s not ready to answer that question. She invents a work-related excuse and escapes to a friend’s lakeside cottage.

Noah Brownlee has been hiding for two years. But now he’s ready to come home and mend his broken relationship with his brother. When a friend offers the use of his lakeside cottage, Noah arrives in the middle of a blizzard with his English Mastiff, only to find the place is already occupied. With her big brown eyes and quirky sense of humor, Renata stirs feelings he thought long dead.

As the blizzard rages, the candy hearts predict love. Can Valentine’s Day work its magic between them?
MY TAKE:

When a blizzard traps Renata in a remote cabin with a stranger and his huge, slobbering dog, she wonders if the Universe is playing a cruel trick on her. But as she gets to know Noah and Spike, she can't help falling for both of them.

The Candy Hearts series is all about falling in love and love at first sight, and Chill Out is a fun, welcome start to this awesome new series. Jana Richards is masterful at showing us the complex emotions simmering behind the words and actions of her characters. This well written story unfolds slowly as Renata and Noah become more comfortable with one another and reveal their true feelings.

A quick, satisfying read, I totally recommend this Valentine story to anyone needing a pick-me-up, or a reminder that love heals all. I give this story 5 stars, or 5 Candy Hearts, as it were!

  1. I agree, Chill Out was a lot of fun to read. Who can resist a great guy with a big dog?
